Education and Work Experience :
- Education : High school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a cook in either a business or social services setting.
- The individual must obtain yearly certification in First Aid, CPR, and a Multnomah County Food Handler’s Card.
- Experience in preparing / cooking food on a large- to institutional-scale is required.
Scope of Position :
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for preparing and serving meals to the participants of the Sunderland RV Safe Park Village program. They are / he / she is also responsible for the operation of and supervision of the use and maintenance of all kitchen equipment. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for maintaining the kitchen and ensuring the kitchen and food storage areas are in compliance with current Oregon Health Department standards. The Kitchen Manager will also supervise volunteers assigned to the kitchen or food storage areas. They will professionally and appropriately deal with program participants and donors, plan daily meals, maintain records, and prepare food for regular meals and special events. Any special or unusual concern is to be brought to the immediate attention of the program administrator.
