Position Title: 360 Life Center Community Assistant
Job Summary: Provide Community support along with the distribution of food to residents. Ensure regular pickups from local community partners are managed and complete to stock the pantry as needed. Maintain building cleanliness and overall presence to visitors and guests.
Reports To: Director of Ministries and Operations
Pay Grade: 402
Pay Rate: $15.75
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Considerable experience will be considered in lieu of.
Experience: A minimum of three to five years knowledge and work experience related to maintenance, building upkeep and support of mulitple facilities preferred.
Good written and verbal communication skills with those they interact with to include staff, volunteers, community members, those we serve and supporting organizations.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to be a team player, a self-starter, and perform with minimum supervision.
Candidates must successfully pass the pre-employment background inquiry and annual motor vehicle check with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure regular pickups from local community partners are managed and complete to stock the pantry as needed.
- Assist with unloading product and stocking shelves in an organized and efficient manner.
- Coordinate donations as they come into the building.
- Provide Food Pantry support to the local community.
- Maintain and clean the building daily, interior and exterior with lawn and seasonal maintenance required.
- Assist with all Christmas activities including bell ringing and angel tree programs.
- Always maintain client confidentiality.
- Maintain positive work atmosphere through appropriate conflict management, courteous demeanor, and professional and appropriate communication practices.
- Successfully satisfy the training requirements associated to the position and as required by The Salvation Army.
- Other duties as assigned by the local team.
Position Ranking:
- Regular Part Time, Hourly. Non-Exempt status. 27 hours.
Physical Demands/ Work Environment:
This Position is required to do moderate physical work. This position is required to maintain and clean the building inside and outside. This will include snow removal and landscaping the front and back areas of the outside of the building. To successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the individual is regularly required to lift and bend, move, occasionally required to position self to stoop, kneel or crouch, frequently required to reach with and use arms and hands as required in using tools, landscaping equipment, climb ladders and work in varying and sometimes extreme temperature environments. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to focus. The work environment for this position includes an office, warehouse, and outdoor environment. Individual must be able to continuously lift to fifty pounds, frequently more.
