The Salvation Army Maplewood Corps and Community Center located in Maplewood, Missouri, is looking for a Community Center Coordinator. The Community Center Program Coordinator will provide leadership to volunteer Club316 care givers, coordinate scheduling, and communication to children of individuals who attend Salvation Army programs or events. The Community Center Program Coordinator will be directly responsible to assist in the day-to-day operations of Community Center programs as assigned by the Directors of Programs. This will include daily involvement with families, children, teens and seniors and interaction with individuals from the community in a variety of activities.This is a part-time position, 25 hours per week, with starting pay of $15.00 per hour.7701 Rannells Ave, St. Louis, MO 63143Community Center Program Coordinator - Essential FunctionsEnsure compliance with Safe From Harm guidelines and embody The Salvation Army's mission and values.Oversee and direct program volunteers, ensuring high-quality care and Safe From Harm adherence.Develop and maintain program staffing schedules and communicate with relevant team members and Corps Officers about needs and coverage.Create and sustain a safe, fun, and educational environment for children, coordinating activities as necessary.Maintain order and cleanliness in program areas, ensuring spaces are tidy before and after shifts.Record daily attendance and program statistics accurately.Full job description available upon interview.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma, previous 2 years' work experience with childcare or related field. Good communication skills and ability to work with diverse cultures. Able to read and write well. Requires basic verbal communications with children and other employees. Valid drivers' license (including E license to transport children) and pass TSA MVR. Must be certified by American Red Cross (ARC) in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid.Physical and Working ConditionsMust be capable of performing the above essential duties and be able to lift a 40-pound child. Most work will be indoors in a temperature-controlled environment.
