PAY RANGE: $50,813-$60,975

JOB SUMMARY
The Donor Relations and Training Coordinator designs and implements strategies to enhance donor engagement, recognition, and care while providing training and professional development opportunities for divisional and field teams. This role ensures effective communication with donors, maintains accurate records, and supports a culture of continuous improvement across donor relations and engagement practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Donor Relations and Engagement
1. Develop and execute donor engagement strategies to build lasting relationships and align with organizational goals.
2. Coordinate donor recognition efforts, including personalized acknowledgment letters, thank-you cards, and stewardship campaigns.
3. Serve as the primary contact for donor inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses that foster trust and satisfaction.
4. Support donor outreach through correspondence, newsletters, proposals, and event invitations.
5. Collaborate with divisional leadership to create donor profiles, leveraging research to inform cultivation strategies.
Training and Professional Development
1. Design and deliver training programs for divisional and field teams on donor engagement, inclusive donor practices, and CRM tools.
2. Mentor team members in donor relations best practices and professional communication techniques.
3. Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance staff capacity and skills.
Administrative and Operational Support
1. Maintain donor records in the CRM database, ensuring accuracy and compliance with divisional standards.
2. Analyze donor data to assess engagement metrics and inform strategies for improvement.
3. Partner with divisional and field teams to ensure donor engagement aligns with divisional campaigns and initiatives.
4. Assist with coordinating and managing donor events, including invitations, RSVPs, registration, and follow-up communications.
Departmental Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with divisional and field teams to ensure alignment of donor data with organizational policies.
2. Partner with divisional teams to streamline donor relations processes and integrate data into broader advancement strategies.
3. Contribute to the creation of reports and presentations for divisional initiatives.
4. Act as a representative of The Salvation Army in all external and internal interactions related to this position, exemplifying the organization's mission, values, and commitment to serving the community.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
. Education: Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred.
. Experience: 5 years of experience in donor relations, training, or development support.
Licenses/Certifications:
. Required Licenses: Valid state driver's license

Skills/Abilities:
. Strong written and verbal communication skills
. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
. Proficiency with Microsoft Office
. Experience with Constituent Relationship Management (such as Salesforce)
. Demonstrated ability to conduct donor research and analyze philanthropic data.
. A willingness to promote the mission of The Salvation Army.
JOB LIMITATIONS

Travel
. Approximately 25% travel within the division.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
. This position is required to do light physical work.
. To successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to use standard office equipment and a PC and related software.
. Work will be indoors in a temperature-controlled environment with potential high and low noise levels
