What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Assistant position at The Salvation Army Central Territory?
Position Summary : The Echo Grove Camp (EGC) Center Program Assistant is responsible for assisting in all EGC programs including general office and program related support, assisting visitors, and staff. Serves as the main resource for questions and program guidance in the absence of the Program Director.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Assist the Program Director, as needed, in the scheduling and preparation of staffing and programming each camp.
- Supervise and provide leadership to the summer ministry team in all areas of camp programs.
- Maintain a positive spiritual climate for the summer ministry team through weekly meetings with everyone - How are you? Are you OK? Provide documentation.
- Assist in enforcing policy and procedures as put in place by the Echo Grove Administration.
- Assist in hosting Echo Grove's summer guest groups during the month of August
- Assist in teaching or leading an activity
- Must be able to train staff to :
Observe camper and staff behavior and assess its appropriateness
Work with different age and skill levels
