The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Summer Camp Assistant in our Summer Camp Program.
About the Position:
This temporary position will run from May 28 to July 25 and involves assisting in planning and organizing camp staff orientation as well as camp programming. As a Summer Camp Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a Christian atmosphere and supporting the infusion of Christian Outreach through the programming.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare information for camp staff orientation and camp programming as assigned.
- Assist in the moving of Youth Department offices to camp.
- Participate in camp staff orientation and all staff meetings and devotions.
- Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the position.
Requirements:
- A personal relationship with Christ and working experience with youth are preferred.
- Maturity and ability to uphold Christian standards and ministries of The Salvation Army in all areas of job responsibilities.
- Good character and ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, clients, and customers.
Educational Background: Will provide on-the-job training.
Language Skills: English proficiency sufficient for communication with supervisors, coworkers, clients, and customers.
