What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance and Quality Assurance Specialist position at The Salvation Army Eastern Territory?
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at The Salvation Army Eastern Territory. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our programs and services meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Regular Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OPWDD policies, directives, and laws. This includes monitoring attendance at meetings/training given by OPWDD and conducting unscheduled inspections of ICF, IRA and Family Care homes in the DDS network.
- Assist with Staff Training: Assist the QA /training Coordinator in creating a uniform standard for forms and procedures across the DDS network and implementing a routine and scheduled training program for all employees within the DDS network. This includes training on activities of daily living, food planning and preparation, house and room maintenance, budgeting and money management.
- Manage Incidents and Financials: Assist in the filing of all incidents into the WSIR System, ensure that all Incident Reports are filed as required by the funder and The Salvation Army, and conduct financial audits to ensure that none of the funds of residents is misspent or misused.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records and reports regarding the health and safety of the residents and the quality of each program. This includes submitting documents into IRMA and serving as a liaison between the QA Coordinator, OPWDD and the Justice Center regarding incidents.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree or more than 5 years of experience in management, leadership, or Human Resources management.
- At least 2 years of experience of proven work with OPWDD.
- 1 year experience in staff training and audit reviews.
- Certified investigator.
- A Valid Driver's License is required.
