OVERVIEW :
The Maintenance Crew is responsible for the overall cleanliness and maintenance of each area of Camp Redwood Glen. The objective of the Maintenance Crew is to ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the grounds, buildings, vehicles, swimming pool, and equipment of the camp and conference center are well taken care of, ensure that the camp is clean and running efficiently, to provide support in camp-wide events, and to participate in daily devotionals.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :
- Assist the Maintenance Crew Chief in any duties as requested in order to maintain a consistently high level of efficiency in the operation of the camp program.
- Clean buildings and complete set-ups required in support of scheduled programming.
- Clean and prepare all areas for use by campers and guests :
Dust windows, and doorways, and knock down all cobwebs.
Pay close attention to recycling vs compost vs trash.
All staff may be called upon at any time to assist in the total operation of the camp. You are expected to join in all evening programs; absences are excused only through the Assistant Camp Director.
QUALIFICATIONS :
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push and pull objects and tools. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
