FLSA Status: Full-Time / 40 hours per week; Non-Exempt (May through October)
PAY: $20 per hour
Scope Of Position/Essential Functions
The Maintenance/Landscape Technician is responsible for hands-on beautification of Salvation Army properties - both commercial and residential. Tasks involved include lawn maintenance, weeding, installation, and caring for a variety of plants. The Maintenance/Landscape Technician I is responsible for helping, along with the members of the maintenance team, in keeping the facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. This position will require you to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility.

- Basic skills in facilities, grounds, and vehicle maintenance through hands-on-experience or have completed comparable Technical/Vocational
- Knowledgeable in MS Office Suite. (Outlook, Word, Excel)

- Valid Alaska Driver’s License with acceptable driving and criminal history records.
- Must meet all state requirements to be in compliance with DOT and Alaska state rules, which may include obtaining a medical certification from an approved provider.
