The Salvation Army Owens Campus in Las Vegas is looking to fill a Driver position for the Veterans Services section. The successful candidate for this position will have experience working with homeless and or at-risk veterans and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The Driver position will pick up and drop off passengers to their destinations and deliver important documents to required destinations. This person will choose the best routes using maps or GPS and to be efficient and maintain a time schedule. The Driver will be required to make sure to keep all vehicles clean, fueled and proper fluid levels, and that vehicle maintenance is done on time.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a valid Nevada Driver License and pass a Motor Vehicle Record Check
- Minimum 5 years driving experience
- Experience working with homeless and or at-risk veterans preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse group of residents, staff and community partners
- Veteran status preferred
- Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
