LOCATION : Green Valley Service Center – 555 N. La Canada Drive #101, Green Valley, AZ 85614
STATUS : FT / 40 Hours- Monday-Friday

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Business Administration, or equivalent in related experience, non-profit helpful
- Experience in the supervision of staff
- Person of high integrity and willing to support and promote the mission of The Salvation Army
- Must represent The Salvation Army in a positive manner at all times
- Experience with volunteer recruitment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be capable of working with minimal supervision and independently
- Able to organize, delegate, motivate and set priorities
- Working knowledge and ability to use computer systems, including outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Demonstrate a positive outgoing attitude, with ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
- Must have current Arizona Driver License and a good driving record
- Successful criminal background clearance
RESPONSIBILITIES
Day to Day
Responsible for operations and management of the day-to-day business at the Green Valley Service CenterAttend Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis Clubs weekly, developing strong relationships, presenting Salvation Army programs and needsAttend Chamber of Commerce for Green Valley once a month representing The Salvation ArmyCreate and continually update PowerPoint presentations for use in presenting local programsManage GV Advisory Council, attend all meeting, prepare agenda, notification, and minutesApply for grants as they relate to Kids Care Fair, White Elephant, and any other events / fundraising activitiesResponsible for Kids Care Fair preparations, set up, gift card orders, applications, securing vendors, and Sahuarita District gymnasiumProvide representation at Fiesta Sahuarita, passing out water, gifts, and general informationManage overall supervision and leadership to Green Valley staff, including adherence to job descriptions, training, evaluations, and disciplinary actionsHandle community complaints and inquires involving the function of the programs and of personnel, answering phones when neededSource, promote and recruit volunteers through various techniques, social media, email, data bases, within the community to attract qualified candidatesIn coordination with Public Relations, conduct presentations at various businesses, schools, churches, providing program information and volunteer opportunities to local newspaper, speaking on The Salvation Army Green Valley Service CenterFacilitate the Annual Volunteer Luncheon, handling all preparations, awards and recognition, food and securing venueCompile and manage statistical data information and enter into NSS systemOversee GV social service program for the outlying communities, offering utility, water, gas, and propane assistance. Meet with clients to determine eligibility in the absence of administrative staff.Ensure onsite collection for ARC is handled appropriatelyTrack and report monthly vehicle mileageAssist in budget preparation, invoice approval monitoring income and expenditures throughout the yearChristmas & Special Appeals
Handle the general operations and logistics of seasonal events and programs, to include Community Holiday Dinners, Toy Distribution and Registration, Christmas Angel Tree and KettlesWork with various businesses and local fire department for annual holiday toy collectionsWork with a team of staff and volunteers, delegating duties and expectations to ensure the details of holiday programs are met, including scheduling and signups of service clubs / realtorsMeet individually with store managers participating in kettles to secure details of the eventAssist in the physical set up of the annual kettle program with local storesOrganize counting of toy / food donations.Assist with all other seasonal campaigns or special events to enhance The Salvation Army’s impact on the communityOther duties as it relates to the job Green Valley Service Center CoordinatorPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
