- Enforcement of house rules and overall security of the center. Ensure all times are adequately covered.
- Safeguard and ensure consistent adherence to all ARC house rules and policies.
- Conduct residence and program orientation for new beneficiaries that includes a facility tour and review of emergency procedures.
- Lead weekly House Meetings.
- Supervise the medication call. Ensuring beneficiaries record medication in medicine log, according to policies and procedures.
- Respond appropriately to routine questions and inquiries from beneficiaries or refer them to appropriate staff.
- Provide safe transportation for beneficiaries as need / assigned being sure to follow all procedures for operation of motor vehicles.
- Respond to emergencies according to established procedures. Report situations to the DRS / MRS or Administrator and make written incident reports and Safe From Harm reports if necessary.
- Implement, monitor, coordinate and attend leisure time activities both in center and out (concerts, athletic events, etc.)
- Responsible to train, schedule and supervise beneficiaries assigned to work therapy assignments such as janitorial crew, front desk or similar.
- Participate in in-service trainings and workshops to enhance professional skills.
- Conduct bed checks at appropriate times.
- Administer drug and alcohol breathalyzer or urinalysis tests to beneficiaries
- Report and document violations of center policies to Administrator and appropriate Program Staff.
- Complete daily reports and electronic data entries which include beneficiaries admitted, terminated and unusual or otherwise noteworthy after-hours incidents.
- Assess spiritual needs of beneficiaries and refer to Chaplain / Administrator as needed.
- Support the mission statement of The Salvation Army.
- Other duties as assigned.
