Position Summary
The Store Associate at The Northern Division Salvation Army Williston Thrift Store is responsible for ensuring customers and donors have a positive experience visiting the store. The Associate processes donated goods, stocks merchandise, and assists customers shopping and checking out.
$14.00/hour, 25 - 29hours/week

Essential Functions
Store Associates will be cross trained in all essential functions. The associate may perform a variety of essential functions throughout their shift or be assigned to a few specific essential functions.
- Create a positive, enjoyable shopping and donation experience for customers and donors.
- Accurately, efficiently, and quickly operate the cash register.
- Process, sort, clean, hang, organize, and bail merchandise.
- Stock and maintain merchandise on the floor to increase product visibility and sales.
- Process donation drop-offs, assist donors with unloading donations, and issue receipts.
- Perform light cleaning throughout the store.
- Assist customers with loading purchases as requested.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Customer services and/or retail experience preferred.
- Basic math skills required and previous experience handling cash a plus.
- Must pass background checks.

- Ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and prioritize.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Ability to walk, bend, stand, lift, and carry.
- Must be able to regularly lift 40 pounds and occasionally 60 pounds.
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English.
- Not eligible for a remote-friendly work environment.
