About this opportunity :

This position is responsible for Performing various advanced, complex, and very confidential clerical work including typing of routine correspondence and filing and retrieving non-confidential legal files, and administrative details at the direction of the In-House Counsel / Assistant Legal Director. Maintains a calendar of important deadlines and dates; provides reminders and conducts follow-up with appropriate Divisions or THQ Departments.

Key responsibilities :

  • Obtains signatures for litigation and other documents upon request. Maintains an electronic file for all legal billings. Performs routine data entry and keypunching of various information into a computer; proof reports for accuracy and completeness; updates and maintains various files, logs, lists, reports, and records; generates and distributes various computer reports. Prepares advanced, technical, and highly confidential reports; reviews legal invoices for completeness; and processes check requests for presentation to the Finance Department from start to finish. Scans and organizes documents into electronic files.
  • Ensures all data entry functions are performed in an accurate, complete, and timely manner; ensures compliance with established deadlines; ensures the confidentiality and integrity of computer information.
  • Prepares correspondence representing directives from the Board. Reviews and verifies that all paperwork is present and in proper order for processing; research files as necessary and contacts appropriate individuals for needed information; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same.

What we are looking for in you :

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required, AND
  • Two years of experience performing clerical work preferably in a legal environment. OR
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

    Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.

    Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.

    Work is performed in a normal office environment or file room where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
