Job Summary:
Performs a variety of clerical support work including maintaining, filing, and photocopying records, correspondence, forms, lists, logs, etc. necessary for efficient operations of the Correctional Ministries Bible Course Program; answers the telephone; performs all activities regarding the processing of incoming/outgoing mail; prepares and processes supply orders; performs light typing; performs switchboard relief as needed.

Administrative Support (100%)
Prepares and maintains Correctional Ministries Bible Course records, books, logs, lists, etc.; updates the same in an accurate, complete, and timely manner.
Performs routine filing of Correctional Ministries Bible Course correspondence, forms, cards, records, reports, and documents; maintains and utilizes the bring-up filing system; ensures the files are maintained in an organized and efficient manner.
Receives, sorts, and distributes Correctional Ministries Bible Course mail in an accurate and timely manner; ensures that all mail received is forwarded to the appropriate person and/or destination; update any address changes; prepares labels, lessons, and completes necessary forms, and packages same for shipping and delivery to mailroom.
Prepare and file new enrollment and pending cards; update any changes that need to be made.
Prepare all envelopes for new book mail out; graded lessons; collect and prepare War Cry, calendars, and other Christian literature for mailing with Bible Courses
Photocopies and collates correspondence, forms, reports, and documents.
Distributes information regarding the Correctional Ministries Bible Course Program in an accurate and timely manner; compiles mailing lists and ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same.
Other Responsibilities:
Performs switchboard relief as needed.
May perform light typing of routine correspondence as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities:
Knowledge of effective and efficient methods for organizing and maintaining records and ability to perform the same.
Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
Ability to maintain an efficient and organized filing system to ensure that items can be retrieved in a timely manner.
Ability to maintain up-to-date records, logs, and lists with accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain the confidential nature of the department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D. required, with additional secretarial courses preferred,
And
One to two years' experience performing secretarial or administrative duties in a professional office preferred,
Or
any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certifications:
None.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively.
Ability to sort and file items alphabetically and numerically.
Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and time constraints.
Ability to apply discretion and independent judgment and exercise confidentiality.
Ability to answer the telephone in a courteous and tactful manner in addition to the ability to learn how to proficiently operate a switchboard.
Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 30lbs.)
Working Conditions:
Work is usually performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like, but may be performed periodically in storage environments.
