Location: 2795 County Rd 220 Middleburg, FL. 32068 Position Type: Non-Exempt -Part-Time Pay Range: $14.44 - $16.25 About this opportunity: Performs routine repairs and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles; performs routine grounds keeping work to ensure the beautification of the landscape; performs minor plumbing and carpentry repair work. Key responsibilities: Performs routine building maintenance and cleaning activities; performs minor pluming repairs required by leaking faucets and clogged toilets; performs carpentry work required to repair dents and/or holes in walls and paints walls. Performs preventative maintenance of Salvation Army vehicles; monitors and replenishes all fluid levels. Maintains the grounds to include mowing grass, trimming hedges, blowing leaves, and collecting debris; maintains the beautification of the grounds. Sweeps, vacuums, strips, mops and waxes floors; sweeps sidewalks. Assembles and moves office furniture including chairs, desks, tables, bulletin boards, etc. Monitors activities and visitors of building and grounds to ensure security. Drives Corps vehicles for various Corps needs, including procurement of Maintenance supplies, special fundraising event, Food Pantry collection or other Corps needs Cleans surroundings after each repair job; ensures that all tools are collected and surroundings are left neat and clean. Monitors lighting and changes light bulbs when needed. Maintains all tools, supplies, parts, and equipment belonging to the Maintenance Department.   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of general building and grounds maintenance practices and procedures. Ability to learn by method of on-the-job training including ability to follow instructions. Ability to perform routine and minor repair and maintenance activities of buildings and grounds. Ability to use and maintain maintenance equipment and tools effectively and in a safe manner. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in cleaning the kitchen and dining area. Assists in cleaning, setup, and preparation of rooms used for worship or service Performs other related work as required.
