Location: Central Virginia Area Command – Youth Ministry Program Building
Position Type: Regular, Full-Time
Pay Range: $14.64 - $16.00
About this opportunity:
Under the general supervision of the Facilities & Property Manager, daily cleans and maintains the building and grounds to ensure the neatness and cleanliness of the property assigned. Performs routine repairs and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles; performs minor plumbing and carpentry repair work; performs routine grounds keeping work to ensure the beautification of the landscape.
Key responsibilities:
Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sinks and toilets, polishes mirrors, and replenishes supplies.
Sweeps, vacuums, mops, buffs and waxes floors. Keeps sidewalks clean and free of debris.
Performs routine building maintenance activities; performs minor plumbing repairs required by leaking faucets and clogged toilets; performs carpentry work required to repair dents and/or holes in walls and paints walls.
Assists in performing grounds keeping work.
What we are looking for in you:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Valid State Driver’s License.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a Youth Ministry building where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work requires driving a vehicle and working outdoors daily with exposure to physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
