Case Management Specialist (Emergency Shelter Program)

Location: Sarasota County Area Command – Sarasota, FL Position Type: Full Time – Tuesday to Saturday – 2pm to 10:30pm Pay Range: $28.18/ hour About this opportunity: Interviews, accepts, and provides comprehensive, long-term, structured, complex, case management services for an assigned caseload of homeless clients participating in an established life management program. Key responsibilities: Understands the uniqueness of the client’s history in order to determine most effective program plans. Develops comprehensive program plan/goals and evaluates client's progress by conducting mentoring and counseling sessions with client and/or staff. Responds to client or team issues in an appropriate and timely manner. Contributes to a team environment and works alongside of internal and external peers towards a common goal.   What we are looking for in you: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or a related field, and Three years progressively responsible experience providing direct case management social services including accessing clients’ needs and developing individual, comprehensive, long-term action plans for recovery utilizing a wide variety of resources or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.   Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Duties are usually performed seated.
