Location: Pasco County, FL Corps, Port Richey, FL Position Type: Regular Full-Time - 35 hours/week Pay Range: $18.19 - $20.47/hour About this opportunity: This position is responsible for planning, developing, maintaining and supporting activities to build and enhance The Salvation Army image and ministries within the community. Key responsibilities: Develops and maintains a marketing plan. Coordinates resources and personnel for fundraising special events and activities. Assists the Corps Officer in cultivating and developing fruitful relationships with corporations, churches, civic groups, and other public entities.  Recruits, trains, coordinates, and directs volunteers. What we are looking for in you: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related Business field, AND Three years progressively responsible experience in public relations developing and coordinating special events and media relations OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate the English language. Ability to speak before large groups in person, by radio and television. Ability to lead, motivate and evaluate the work efforts of volunteers. Ability to initiate projects and use sound judgement in concept assimilation and promotion. Ability to travel to various locations in order to participate in public meetings, conferences, etc. Duties are usually performed seated.  Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking. Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
