Job Summary
Subscribes to, adheres to, and shares the Doctrines, Mission, and Positions of The Salvation Army Serves as an evangelist to the community and constituency of the Corps; develops and leads worship services and ministerial programs; provides spiritual guidance and leadership to the same. Serve the Corps by assisting the Corps Officer in planning, coordinating, administrating, monitoring, evaluating, and developing the day-to-day operations of the Corps; develops and leads religious programs; participates in social service programs providing assistance to people in need; coordinates arrangements for seasonal programs and recruits/supervises volunteers for the same; Supervises and schedules Corps groups, community outreach programs, and social service work; monitors and maintains adequate financing and budgetary compliance of the Corps operations. Participates in providing assistance to people in need.

Serves as an evangelist through the proclamation of Jesus Christ as redeemer with the intent of impacting the lives of men and women through spiritual regeneration; promotes membership into the body of Christ which includes but is not limited to The Salvation Army.
Assists Corps Officer and Program Coordinator in planning and implementing worship and outreach programs for the corps that reaches across all age groups.
Plans, develops, prepares, and leads specific youth ministries programs; leads or assists with regular meetings for Adventure Corps; prepares and coordinates or assists with production of Christian program materials and newsletters; assists in Sunday School teacher development.
Assists and partners with the Corps Officer(s) in developing Salvation Army evangelical mission outreach and growth; assesses local community needs and advises Corps Officer of findings; identifies specific areas to target for outreach growth; encourages and helps to train corps members for mission; develops a corps mission team where possible.
Assists in developing, leading and/or supporting Salvation Army evangelical mission programs and ministries in corps/club; plans, develops and coordinates bridging events between corps and persons served in mission, clubs, centers, shelters, etc.
Assists and partners with the Corps Officers in developing and conducting the Pastoral Care plan for Pathway of Hope. Maintains appropriate records and outcomes of the Pastoral Care plan per Pathway of Hope guidelines. Maintains appropriate communication with Pathway of Hope case manager.
Assists in training and developing Corps Band and singing groups, as well as, leading them in performance as necessary.
Visits individuals and groups in the local community in order to establish a presence in the community and to increase awareness of Salvation Army ministries/programs; builds personal and professional relationships in order to learn firsthand the needs of the local community.
Communicates research findings as well as pertinent information about the local community to the Corps Officer; prepares and provides regular progress reports; maintains statistics on program and ministry participants and corps/ Salvation Army evangelical mission growth.
Plans, develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates program services based on changing needs of clientele. Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers for Corps programs.
