Lead Warehouse Worker-NE_Warehouse Operations-541The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a Lead Warehouse Worker for The Salvation Army of Madison County, AL Family Store located in Huntsville, ALPosition Summary: Serves as lead warehouse worker and participates in the work performed by employees, beneficiaries and/or community service workers in the warehouse; ensures that all donated items are processed through the warehouse in a timely manner and in accordance with established standards; ensures the thrift store remains adequately stocked Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of effective and efficient warehouse operations. Ability to lead and motivate co-workers. Ability to determine the suitability and appropriate pricing of donated items. Ability to ensure the warehouse area and equipment are maintained in a neat and orderly mannerEducation and Experience: High school Diploma or G.E.D. preferred, and two years experience performing warehouse work, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilitiesLicenses and Certifications: NonePhysical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light objects (less than 25 lbs.)
