Location: Winston-Salem Area Command Winston-Salem, NC
Position Type: Regular Full-Time at 40 hours per week
About this opportunity: Create and maintain relationships with veteran programs in the designated catchment area. Provide information about the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) and Rapid Rehousing (RRH) program guidelines. Create and maintain relationships with programs and individuals serving veterans who need housing and supportive services. Coordinate with state and county agencies, community partners, veteran service agencies and other service providers to identify and support veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness for referral to the SSVF program or other veteran supportive services through outreach.
What we are looking for in you:
High school diploma or equivalent and one year of work or intern experience
OR
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Duties are usually performed by frequent walking and/or standing with some bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and carrying light objects (usually less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time. Work is performed in a shelter environment where there may be exposure to physical health risks and unsanitary conditions. Work involves driving a vehicle to off-site meetings and home visits where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
