Location: Kroc Center – Biloxi, MS
About this opportunity:
Assists with the supervision of children participating in activities provided within the RJKCCC, such as: Education, Recreation, Arts & Crafts, and Physical Education.
Performs other related work as required which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Key responsibilities:
Knowledge of the principles and practices of First Aid and C.P.R and ability to ensure the safety of children.
Ability to monitor children’s activities to ensure their health and safety. Knowledge of the standard rules and techniques of athletic sports such as baseball, basketball, and football, etc.
Ability to build effective and positive relationships with people of all ages. Ability to lead and motivate people participating in recreational activities.
Ability to lead and motivate people participating in recreational activities.
Ability to respond to emergency situations in a calm and appropriate manner.
What we are looking for in you:
High school diploma or G.E.D., and six months experience working with children in educational, fitness, arts, crafts and other activities in a similar environment, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Valid Driver’s License and eligible driver status under TSA Driver Program
Adult/Child/Infant CPR and First Aid Certification
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor recreational environment where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
