Location: Center of Hope - Sarasota, FL
Position Type: 40 hours - Sunday to Thursday - 7am to 3pm
Pay Range: $18.00/hr
About this opportunity:
The Resident Monitor primary duties include accepting and processing clients into the lodge/shelter facility and monitoring the activity of guests on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security, and policy compliance.
Key responsibilities:
Monitors lodge/shelter facility to ensure safety.
Inputs data into Clarity
Communicates issues or relevant information through communication logs.
Responds to emergencies in a calm manner and initiates corrective action in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Process guest mail
Answers telephone and responds to program inquiries.
What we are looking for in you:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. AND
one year experience performing security or social service work preferred OR
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to perform combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Distance of travel is usually within the same building.
Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 35 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
Work is performed in a lodge/shelter facility where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
