What are the responsibilities and job description for the Store Helper position at The Salvation Army USA Southern Territory?
Location: The Salvation Army Family Thrift Store
3730 Richland Ave. Aiken, SC
Hours: Monday- Friday 10 am-6 pm/ Saturday 10 am-5 pm
Pay$9.11/Hour Position Type/ Part-time
Receives, sorts, prices, and prepares donated items for display in the store.
Key responsibilities:
Determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards.
Assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the store and sorting room area.
Helps store customers donate and select store items; responds to customer questions.
What we are looking for in you:
No formal education or experience is required.
Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing. Duties are usually performed standing. Standing may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of sitting. Moderate physical effort is required associated with sitting, walking, standing, lifting, bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and carrying light to heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.) frequently with a helper.
