Job Title : Utah EDS&SE Field Representative
FLSA Status : Part Time - non-exempt
Reports to : Assistant Director of Emergency Disaster Services & Service Extension
Schedule : 8 : 30AM - 5 : 00PM, 3 Days
Supervises : N / A
Rate of Pay : $29 / hour

Benefits : Standard; Part-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following :
- Sick leave benefit - 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual and availability begins at hire; sick time accrual is pro-rated for part-time hours.)
- Vacation benefit - 10 vacation days per year, accrued at the rate of .0385 hours for each hour worked, excluding overtime (accrual begins at hire but may not be used until the completion of six months of employment; vacation accrual is pro-rated for part time hours.)
- Pension Plan (after one year of continuous service) with at least 21 hours worked per week.
Function
Under the direction of the Assistant EDS / SE Director, the UT EDS / SE Field Rep will support EDS / SE personnel, SE Units, and is responsible for assisting in preparedness, response, and recovery activities that affect the Intermountain Division and its services and programs. The position also conducts emergency management training relevant to the Intermountain Division. Finally, this position ensures that Service Extension carries out the mission in every assigned zip code of the Intermountain Division.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise, develop, and train EDS / SE team (employees and volunteers) in assigned region;
Support EDS activities with the Assistant EDS / SE Director
Manage and direct the Service Units on their daily operations as assigned;
Coordinate the Service Extension Christmas Red Kettle campaign to include recruitment and retention of volunteers and paid staff as approved;
Education, Experience, Skills, Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent;
Excellent oral and written communication skills
The capability to work with minimal supervision
A minimum age of 21 and possession of a valid in-state driver's license is required.
Continued employment will be contingent upon a biennial (every two years) background check that is processed in accordance with The Salvation Army's policies.
