Position Type : Temporary Full-Time - Overnight Residential
Pay Range : $350.00 per week.
About this opportunity :
Provides childcare services for the staff's children including personal care, hygiene, learning and development activities, and specialized programs.
Key responsibilities :
- Provides care to staff children throughout the day, ensuring they partake of meals and maintain proper personal habits.
- Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of childcare property.
- Assists in keeping DYS’s quarters neat and clean each day.
- Assists with putting staff children to bed, as needed.
- Aids in household duties, such as laundry.
- Participates enthusiastically as a member of the camp staff team to deliver and supervise evening programs, special events, overnights, and other all-camp activities and camp functions.
- Sits with camper tables during meals and serves as a table monitor when needed.
- Keeps personal living quarters neat, clean, and ready for inspection.
- Be available to participate and assist with camp programs and activities as directed by the Camp Director.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Some physical requirements of the Camp Counselor position include endurance, climbing, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities / programs and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must have a willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering a program in the facility. Operate with daily exposure to the sun and heat and varying environmental conditions.

Additional Information :
Camp Staff Orientation will be held June 10-15, 2025, and participation is required. The 2025 Summer Camp Program will be held June 16, 2025 – July 19, 2025. If you are unable to work the entire program session, please let us know on your application.
Camp Staff debrief will be held on 07 / 20 / 2025 and participation is required.
