The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has an opening for a Camp Music Conservatory Dance Studio Coordinator for the Arkansas and Oklahoma Conservatory of Music and Arts, located in Welling, OK.
This is a summer position based at Camp Heart O’ Hills. This summary outlines essential functions and requirements but is not all-inclusive. Additional job-related responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
The Dance Studio Coordinator is responsible for managing the dance studio and implementing a well-rounded curriculum emphasizing dance fundamentals. This role fosters a safe, creative, and engaging learning environment that promotes personal, artistic, and spiritual growth for students.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop a curriculum focusing on dance fundamentals and techniques in both traditional and modern dance styles.
- Teach students how to select appropriate music, design costumes, and choreograph their own pieces.
- Prepare students to create dances for worship services.
- Equip students to pursue further education at dance studios, school programs, or collegiate-level programs, if desired.
- Ensure all dancers participate in at least one recital night, either as a soloist or part of an ensemble.
- Lead the dance class in presenting a group piece during graduation.
- Conduct private lessons to refine technique and prepare students for performances.

Additional Information
Camp Staff Orientation will be held 06 / 11 / 2025 – 06 / 15 / 2025 and participation is required.
The 2025 summer camp program will be held 6 / 16 / 2025 – 07 / 20 / 2025. If you are unable to work the entire session, please let us know on your application.
