What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver position at The Salvation Army Western PA Division?
We are seeking a dedicated Driver to join The Salvation Army's Beaver Falls team. This role is essential in ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services to support our community initiatives.
This is an on-call, casual position working as needed up to 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Pick up food from the donating agencies.
- Deliver food to the distribution points (Food Pantries/Soup Kitchens).
- Record the proper mileage of the truck
- Ensure the proper maintenance of the truck in a timely manner.
- Clean and wash the truck as needed.
- Collect the necessary statistics and signatures from each delivery site.
- Promptly report any damage to product.
- Secure necessary truck volunteers for loading/unloading.
- All three PA Clearances required upon employment and thereafter upon renewal date: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, Request for Criminal Record, and Fingerprint based federal criminal history.
- PA Mandated and Permissive Reporting and The Salvation Army's KeepSAfe training required.
- Must have valid PA Drivers License.
Education and Experience:
- High School graduate or must have G.E.D. equivalent.
- Must be able to work unsupervised as minimal as possible
