Essential Duties And Responsibilities.
- Maintain security & safety of the residents and the building while on duty.
- Complete the intake process and orient new residents with the shelter.
- Disseminate information regarding community resources available to shelter residents.
- Complete all necessary paperwork in a neat and timely fashion.
- Provide supervision of clients in the shelter and maintain harmony.
- Prepare meals as needed.
- Communicate appropriately with other supervisors, staff, and residents.
- Assign and supervise the cleaning chores of the residents.
- Reinforce shelter policies without discrimination or favoritism.
- Contact immediate supervisor or Officers in case of emergency or for necessary decisions.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries with residents.
- Maintain cleanliness and security of all equipment, facilities, and grounds in area of responsibility.
- Observe The Salvation Army’s policies on confidentiality.
- Uphold the mission, objectives, policies, and procedures of The Salvation Army.
- Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma
- Experience in Human Services @ least 1-2 years
- Experience working with people.
- Completion of required training within the noted period.
- Possess a current valid driver’s license.
- Able to cook for 30-40 people.
- Able to lift 40 lbs.
