What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tutor position at The Salvation Army?
About this opportunity :
This position assists, instructs, and evaluates children in the academic areas in which they are weak so they may better understand and perform the skills; confers directly with the student’s teacher and parents regarding students progress; conducts individual and group tutoring sessions with students; prepares various reports documenting the student's progress and shares the same with parents.
Key responsibilities :
- Utilizes educational tools (flash-cards, charts, educational games, work-sheets, textbooks, etc) in order to explain, teach and / or review educational skills according to the needs of the students.
- Plans and prepares curriculum for each child for each tutoring session.
- Prepares and provides bi-weekly, mid-term, and a final report of each student for parents; prepares and provides an end-of-the-month report of the tutoring program.
