Position: Minor League Strength & Conditioning Coach (Affiliate)
Reports To: Minor League Strength & Conditioning Coordinator, Director of Minor League Medical, and Major League Strength & Conditioning Coach.
Department: Medical/ Player Development
Status: Full Time; Exempt
Position Summary:
The San Francisco Giants are seeking a full-time Minor-League Strength & Conditioning Coach to join the Baseball Operations team. This role will have primary responsibilities for the implementation of Strength & Conditioning protocols with an affiliated team within the Giants Organization.
Position Responsibilities:
- Implementation and supervision of organization’s Strength & Conditioning
- Prescribe and teach individualized physical development program based on athletes ongoing physical assessments throughout the year.
- Lead and oversee daily movement preparation programs and team stretch/ dynamic warm-up to prepare athletes for training sessions.
- Collaboration with all members of player development as part of a holistic developmental
- Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly
- Facilitate aspects of Sport Science
- Assist medical staff as
Skills and Qualification:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in exercise science-related Master’s degree preferred.
- NSCA – CSCS
- Minimum 1 – 3 years of professional or college level strength & conditioning experience
- CPR/ AED
- Exceptional relationship/rapport building skills, including ability to work effectively with wide range of departments, seniority levels, and personalities.
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Position will report to Phoenix, AZ for Off-Season Camps and Spring Affiliate will be determined at a later date.
