What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Dietary Manager position at The Sarah Community?
St. Andrews at The Sarah Community is looking for a Dietary Manager for our senior assisted living apartments. As a Dietary Manager, you will help us create a true dining experience for our residents.
The successful candidate will oversee and participate in the preparation of breakfast, lunch, and dinner for our dear residents.
Will enforce and use all food production controls.
Must have the knowledge to purchase all food from approved purveyors according to the food specifications established.
Maintain an accurate and timely accounting of all purchases and usages.
Have daily production meetings with dining service staff which are essential to critique the day's production and to plan for the next day's production.
Routinely review dining service staff performance, selection of new personnel and training of all dining service staff.
Maintain a safe, sanitary operation in accordance with federal, state, local and facility standards.
Qualifications:
CDM Certified required!
Must have at least three years of experience in hospital, institution, or restaurant management and cooking. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have the ability to be pleasant, cheerful, tactful, and courteous when dealing with residents and staff.
