We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting with various medical procedures, and ensuring the well-being of patients in a variety of settings, including assisted living and hospice care. This position requires a strong commitment to patient support and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.

Duties

• Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
• Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring accurate medical documentation is maintained.
• Assist with catheter care and other medical procedures as directed by nursing staff.
• Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize electronic health record systems, such as Cerner, for efficient patient documentation.
• Support patients in home care settings, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to patient care and medical procedures.

Experience

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, particularly in roles involving patient care or assisted living.
• Familiarity with hospice care practices is a plus.
• Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and medical documentation processes is essential.
• Experience working with electronic health record systems, such as Cerner, is advantageous.
• A background in nursing or relevant certifications will be considered an asset.
