POSITION SUMMARY: The Sales Associate is responsible for maintaining a pristinely clean environment, guiding clients through the Wellness Lounge by presenting information on the infrared saunas, magnesium float cabins, wellness lounge Laurel's personal story behind the opening of The Sauna & Soak Lounge. Along with booking client appointments and checking them in and out for various services and retail sales, the Sales Associate will work in tandem with the leadership team across operations and sales, including events marketing. The Sauna & Soak Lounge is a collaborative and enthusiastic team, with caring rapports, strong work ethics, and an affinity for our clients. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.

Maintain a pristinely clean environment (i.e., clean saunas and floats, and studio per protocols; maintain bathroom and laundry as needed).

• Guide clients through the Wellness Lounge and present information regarding infrared sauna and magnesium float cabins.
• Book clients on Mindbody software and maintain client information (i.e., waivers, contracts, notes, contact logs, updates).
• Check in and check out clients from Mindbody for services and retail sales.
• Reach weekly Membership goals to sign up minimum of one member per week.
• Utilize retail knowledge to hit monthly sales goals.
• Adhere to open, mid, and closing shift checklists for the studio.
• Operate on a solution-based focus and be able to solve problems working directly with the team present and/or escalating to manager when necessary.
• Works directly competently with the Studio Manager and other team members.
• Possess a passion for cultivating a culture of wellness and caring for others.
• Contribute to the continued success of The Sauna & Soak Lounge through support of general office obligations and assist on special projects.
• Represent The Sauna & Soak Lounge as a professional point of contact for on-site visitors and guests, provide information, guidance, and resources to facilitate the continuation of the organization’s causes and missions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• MINIMUM of one (1) year of leadership experience in a retail or sales environment establishing sales goals leading a team towards goals, hiring training staff and managing a team. THIS IS A MUST!
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
• Highly goal oriented, solutions focused ambitious for growth.
• Must be detail oriented and organized with the ability to perform duties under pressure, prioritize workload, and timely meet deadlines.
• Ability to work irregular hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office Suite software (i.e. MS Word, Excel). Strong knowledge of computer applications for the frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, safety data sheets (SDS) or governmental regulations. Ability to successfully draft reports, business correspondence and policy. Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions and professionally interact with managers, employees, clients, vendors, and the public.
• Must possess strong reasoning ability. Must apply appropriate principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and initiate appropriate course of action. Must effectively convey ideas, images, and goals to a diverse group of personalities.
• Able to work as a team and be comfortable working alone in the studio.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS PREFERERED:

• Previous experience selling services, merchandise, and/or memberships.
• Previous experience working within health, wellness, spa, fitness, or hospitality.
• MindBody or booking software experience.
