Promotions Specialist - Modesto, CA

Job Summary:

The role provides support for Merchandising by creating promotional plans and managing Ad results. This position also is responsible for all other related administrative duties related to price, promotion, and products. This position will work closely with vendors, as well as cross functional teams within the Company to coordinate product samples and supplier and product information.

Responsibilities:

  • Support promotional planning process, keeping the promotional calendars current and aligned with the Advertising production calendar to ensure the team meets all deadlines required by the advertising teams.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute all sales reports and category scorecards for Merchandising Teams. Pull data from Essbase cube, verify sales projections and put information into template.
  • Collaborate with supply chain partners on product. Contact vendors as needed on deals opportunities and cost.
  • Manage new item process including meeting all deadlines required by the pricing department. Works with Category Managers to set up new items in online tool.
  • Assuring all vendors are up to date on all their vendor compliance issues. Assist vendors with questions that arise during vendor setup, monitor process to ensure completed thoroughly.
  • Manage weekly ad process for weekly flyers and ecommerce. Proofread ads for any errors and make corrections as needed.
  • Responsible for publishing weekly merchandising notes for all three banners, which will also include all daily communications to the stores and any holiday merchandising planners.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Hiring pay range: $29.19 - 29.19

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

  • Familiarity with Space Planning software and order management systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of syndicated data platforms.
  • Strong analytical ability, including the ability to manage and interpret large amounts of data and provide insight.
  • Knowledge of store layout and product flow.
  • Advanced coordination/administrative skills, to include polished analytical and organization skills.
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with broad audiences of internal and external partners.
  • Ability to follow a process with accuracy to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Experienced in working independently, determining actions needed in ambiguous situations, and managing conflicting deadlines.
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), general aptitude to learn new and legacy operating systems, and use of general office equipment.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills; required to communicate to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in retail environment preferred

Education: Two-year college degree or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training or additional job experience

Experience: 3 years of directly related experience

Other: Some travel required. Must be able to work overtime, when needed.
