Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented default specialist to join our dynamic default servicing legal team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to attorneys with regard to debt collection services. This role requires strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and knowledge of computer systems. The default specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice.
Duties
- Draft legal documents for attorney review
- Use computer systems to file/record documents with the court
- Communicate with clients regarding the status of the case files
- Manage and organize case records using our case management system
- Adhere to your schedule and attend meetings
- Collaborate with team members to prepare for court appearances and hearings
- Assist attorneys with additional legal requests
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice areas
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Ability to work in a high-paced environment
- Punctuality and excellent attendance required
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyze complex legal issues
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in a legal environment is desirable but not mandatory
- Previous experience in a debt collection center is desirable but not mandatory
