Social Media & Content Creation Intern (Immediate Hire)

The Scene is an AI powered pocket concierge app for instant personalized recommendations with guaranteed reservations in NYC. Featured on TechCrunch less than 24 hours after our launch on the App Store last year, we currently have 15k users and work with 508 restaurants/bars in NYC. We are a fast growing start up looking for talent that are passionate about the NYC food and restaurant *scene* and enjoy contributing to something from the ground up.

Role Description

This is an on-site internship role for a Social Media & Content Creation Intern located in New York. The intern will be responsible for:

• Shooting content at NYC restaurants and bars
• Creating and editing reels & tiktoks
• Posting content on IG & Tiktok using best practices informed by algorithm research and staying up to date on trends
• The typical workload is 1 shoot, ranging between 2 - 5 hours and editing 3 - 4 videos per week
• Handling potential admin/ ad hoc tasks that come up for the team
• Working directly with the Founder & CEO on a daily basis

This role will have a huge growth opportunity to learn, ask questions, take on more responsibility and secure full time employment.

Qualifications

• Past experience shooting HQ content on an iPhone Pro Camera
• Experience with using professional lighting audio equipment
• Marketing / Photography/ Videography adjacent majors, in their sophomore/ junior year preferred
• Experience with using Instagram and Tiktok to edit and create content
• Experience with using other editing software : InShot, CapCut, Templify, etc.
• Experience with social media marketing : using trending hashtags, trending audios, algorithm hacking, etc.
• An interest in staying updated on social media trends and algorithm updates
• Strong communication skills
• Extremely organized and timeline oriented

Compensation:

• This is a for credit internship
• Food and drinks at all shoots will be comped

Hours:

• 5-10 hours per week
