The School District of Lee County is currently seeking an Associate Superintendent, Adult, Career Technical, and Alternative Education. This role will ensure the effective operation of adult, career, technical and alternative education programs in accordance with School Board policies by developing, coordinating, and supporting all resources necessary to maximize student achievement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field.
- Ten years of progressively responsible and effective work experience in educational leadership school administration, and teaching.
- Valid Florida driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree from an accredited institution in Education, Educational Leadership, or other relevant field of study.
Relevant work experience or education may be substitute to satisfy minimum qualifications
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to principals, administrators, and other staff within the assigned programs to build highly effective teams that facilitate effective operations and delivery of high-quality education.
- Oversee and assess the effectiveness of program staff within adult, career, technical, and alternative education programs, providing strategic guidance and actionable feedback. Develop and propose recommendations related to their employment and professional development.
- Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans, goals, and objectives for the assigned programs, aligning them with the overall mission and vision of the school district.
- Support instructional leadership practices that promote student learning and achievement, including curriculum development, instructional strategies, assessment practices, and data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee the recruitment, selection, training, evaluation, and professional development of program leadership and support staff.
- Stay informed about relevant education policies and legislation at the local, state, and federal levels. Advocate for policies that support and enhance adult, career, technical, and alternative learning opportunities.
- Build partnerships with schools, community organizations, businesses, and the workforce to identify, develop, and promote adult, career, technical, and alternative learning programs.
- Collaborate with district leadership to develop and manage budgets for assigned programs, ensuring the efficient and equitable allocation of resources to support program goals.
- Serve as a liaison between programs, students, community organizations, and other stakeholders within the District, fostering positive relationships and partnerships to support student success.
- Analyze student performance data, demographic information, and other relevant metrics to monitor progress, identify areas for improvement, and hold programs accountable for meeting established goals and standards.
- Foster a culture of high expectations for student achievement, professional development, innovation, collaboration, and accountability among staff and stakeholders.
- Ensure that district policies, regulations, and procedures are effectively communicated, implemented, and enforced in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Serve as a team member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet and actively participate in District-wide planning, development, and evaluation to support leadership/program development and align the use of resources to meet the District’s goals.
