Location - Indian River, Delaware. This is a Full Time position.
Job Responsibilities
- The chosen candidate will be required to work in person, in the building to which they are assigned
- Uses psychological principles to prevent or remediate a student’s educational, emotional, or behavioral problems.
- Conduct, complete and interpret psychological and educational assessments of students to parents, school staff, and students, as appropriate.
- Identifies the special psychological needs of students through consultation, observation, and other psychoeducational techniques.
- Provide counseling services to students.
- Provide crisis intervention to school-based personnel, students and families.
- Analyzes, integrates, and reports psychological and educational information about students.
- Consults with school personnel in planning, implementing, and evaluating school programs and interventions to meet the identified psychological and educational needs of individual and groups of students.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates psychological interventions, including counseling, for students who have need of such services.
- Counsels or consults with parents of students with psycho-educational needs.
- Consults with school and other school personnel who apply psychological principles to enhance teaching processes, curriculum development, and the optimal development of each student.
- Provides inservice training to members of the school community regarding application of psychological principles to the educational process.
Requirements
- Must hold or be eligible for State of Delaware Certification (https://regulations.delaware.gov/AdminCode/title14/1500/1583.shtml#TopOfPage)
- Working knowledge of MTSS process
- Working knowledge of diagnostic procedures and instructional modification.
- Clean Criminal Background Check, TB Test, and Child Protection Registry Clearance Must be completed prior to start of employment
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $55.00 - $68.00 per hour
