Scoular has an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in facility operations. The Facility Operations Development Program immerses you in the daily management of a grain-handling facility. This two-year, development program will prepare you to operate a grain-handling facility safely and efficiently.
The Facility Operations Development Program will give you the opportunity to:
- Gain leadership experience in supervising employees, including daily directions, and leading employee training
- Become a safety advocate by developing a thorough understanding of safety policies and procedures, ensuring employee safety and protecting company assets
- Provide outstanding service to Scoular's customers while building a competitive and sustainable operation
- Identify and implement operational changes and facility improvements
- Learn to mange product quality, quantity and inventories to gain responsibility of inbound and outbound product flow.
- Determine cost/benefit analysis to support proposals for facility improvements.
- Build an understanding of the commodity merchandising activity and strategies and translate to coordinate transportation and maintenance requirements to ensure on-time deliveries.
Requirements
- Demonstrate knowledge of mechanized systems, industry equipment and elevator operations
- Eager to learn, energetic and customer-service orientated
- Possess effective communication skills
- Results driven
- Ability to independently solve problems
- Bachelor’s degree a plus, preferably in agriculture, mechanized systems, or related area
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
