Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer preferences.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and making recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies; assist with ordering as needed.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using Aloha POS or similar systems.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling and alcohol service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when necessary.
- Stay updated on drink trends, new products, and techniques in bartending.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in bartending or a related role is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly atmosphere.
- Familiarity with retail math for managing cash transactions effectively.
- Experience using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures in a restaurant setting is beneficial.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, in a nightclub or bar environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- A passion for brewing and mixology is highly desirable.
