JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title:Event Security
Department: Event Security
Reports To:Stadium Security Coordinator
Status: Seasonal, Nonexempt
This is a seasonal position, with an anticipated duration from March 1, 2025 to October 31, 2025.
Primary Objective: Provide a safe environment for guests, participants and employees, while providing exceptional experiences for all by diligently, respectfully and efficiently conducting security duties.
Essential Functions:
- Must be available to work baseball and non-baseball events throughout the year, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Enforce all T-Mobile Park Security Department policies and procedures in a proactive and professional manner.
- Resolves concerns, provides information and directions to guests, clients, vendors, staff and visitors in a prompt and courteous way.
- Elevates questions and concerns to supervisor promptly.
- Assists with emergencies, including but not limited to injuries, alarms and evacuations.
- Ensures that staff and event credentials are always worn and visible.
- Performs access control functions, ensuring only proper credentials are allowed to access restricted areas.
- Utilizes electronic devices to verify credential validity.
- Identifies and reports hazards and safety concerns.
- Completed incident reports as required.
- Ensures that exit doors are not used as entrances and/or improperly opened during events.
- Stand in assigned area to complete security screenings, bag checks, or metal detector monitoring for duration of baseball game or event and until released by a supervisor.
- Assist in security setup including setting up tables, stanchions, barricades and walk-through metal detectors. This requires moving up to 30 lbs. occasionally
- Bend, stretch, push and/or pull up to 10 lbs. repeatedly to check bags and move bags through security screening.
- Stand, walk, and occasionally walk up and down stairs in order to complete job assignments.
- Use functional near vision to closely review contents of bags to ensure no prohibited items are being brought into the ballpark.
- Use security wands to efficiently screen individual guests as needed.
- Use functional near vision to closely review badges and credentials of authorized personnel to control and monitor access to restricted back-of-house areas in and around the ballpark.
- Promptly and effectively communicate all safety and security concerns seen in and around the ballpark using two-way radio. Must also be able to hear and comprehend two-way radio communication to monitor or address security concerns in assigned area.
- Performs all other security duties as assigned.
- Attend all mandatory Team Member meetings and training.
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred. Equivalent, relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education if approved by management.
- Previous experience in a customer-focused environment preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.

- Must be able to work alone and in a team.
- Must be able to work 15 calendar days per month.
- Makes decisions and takes actions that contribute to exceptional experiences for guests.
Physical Activities and Working Conditions (for the Essential Functions):
- Outdoor work environment, subject to fluctuation in temperatures, exposure to the sun and elements.
- Must be able to work afternoon, evening and night games or events, prior to opening of facility to the public and/or through closing of the facility.
- Must stand in place or have limited movement on concrete for duration of event.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, push and/or pull up to 10 lbs. frequently and move up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
- Must have functional near and far vision.
- Must be able to use communication tools such as two-way radios.
- Must be able to use electronic scanning devices such as magnetometers, handheld metal detection wands and handheld credential scanners.
