JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Receptionist
Department: Ballpark Operations
Reports To: Sr. Manager, Guest Experience
Status: Event Staff, Seasonal, Non-Exempt
Primary Objective: You will be one of the first friendly faces to proactively welcome guests to the ballpark. Receptionists are responsible for contributing and creating exceptional experiences for all guests by providing courteous, friendly and knowledgeable service. Reception will be responsible for the execution of day-to-day reception desk operations, ensuring service levels are both consistently and professionally met. As a Receptionist, you will play an important role in representing the Mariners brand by serving as the initial point of contact for the public.
Essential Functions:
- Greet and direct guests with a positive, friendly attitude and demeanor.
- Maintain an awareness of baseball and non-baseball event information.
- Answer phones and assist callers in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Answer or escalate FanCare emails and Satisfi inquiries to resolve guest’s questions or concerns in a timely manner.
- Participate in our guest comment response program and enter their information into our designated program.
- Assist in coordinating and maintaining our Lost and Found program.
- Assist with mail room duties, including sorting inbound mail and processing outbound mail, as needed.
- Participate in Front Office Deliveries when applicable.
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of administrative or clerical experience in an office setting is preferred.
- Ability to understand and utilize technology, including but not limited to radios, communicators devices, laptops, printers, and ticket scanners.
- Microsoft Office experience preferred.

- Record all time worked promptly and accurately and follow meal and rest period expectations.
- Follow all safety guidelines to support your safety and the safety of others.
Physical Activities and Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work morning, afternoon, evening and night games and events, prior to opening of facility to the public and through closing of the facility.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to walk up and down steep stairs and maintain balance while assisting guests.
- Must have functional near vision.
- Must have functional manual dexterity.
