What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Audio/Visual Technician position at The Seattle Mariners Baseball Club?
- Assist Video Engineer and Audio Engineer as required, providing support during live events and ensuring smooth operation of all audio-visual systems.
- Assist with video and audio setups, including configuring and testing microphones, cameras, monitors, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform regular maintenance and operation of equipment during events, addressing any technical issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Assist in testing and control of audio/video systems, conducting routine checks and troubleshooting to ensure consistent quality and functionality.
- Maintain scoreboards and TVs throughout the ballpark, ensuring they are operational and displaying accurate information.
- Assist with the implementation of new equipment, collaborating with team members to integrate new technology seamlessly into existing systems.
- SBE certification required (CBT).
- Minimum of 2 years of trade school in Electronics and/or Broadcast Communications.
- Basic electronic knowledge.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Great customer service skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Highly detail-oriented.
- Knowledge of audio/video signal flow.
- Basic understanding of television broadcast industry rules and procedures.
- Ability to problem-solve independently and work with minimal supervision if necessary.

- Stand for the duration of baseball game or event at assigned area.
- Walk up and down aisles, escalators and/or stairs in assigned area.
- Must be able to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand and/or bend throughout assigned shift to assist guests with various requests and/or needs.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk on concrete stairwells, ramps, and concourses for the duration of baseball game or event.
- Must be able to walk up and down steep stairs and maintain balance while assisting guests.
- Must have functional near vision.
- Must have functional manual dexterity.

The anticipated pay for this role is $25.00 per hour, depending on the shift worked.
