Job Title: Software Development Engineer (SDE) – Front End

Department: Baseball Operations

Reports To: Director – Baseball Systems

Status: Exempt

 

Primary Objective: We are seeking a Software Development Engineer – Front-End to join our team and help bring our Baseball Systems to life. As a Software Development Engineer – Front-End, you will be responsible for designing and developing user interfaces for our systems, as well as creating data visualizations to help our organization make informed decisions. With a focus on delivering a visually appealing and user-friendly experience, you will play a key role in ensuring that our systems are accessible and easy to use for all members of the organization. With your expertise in front-end design and data visualization, you will help make our team’s information accessible to a wide range of users including executives, coaches, and players. Essential Functions:

  • Design and develop new applications and features.
  • Help improve the user experience of our internal applications.
  • Create and maintain a common look and feel across our internal applications.
  • Support other members of the team in implementing new features.
  • Collect requirements and implement features from analysts and non-technical users.
  • Identify and correct application bugs quickly.
  • Document code and support procedures thoroughly.
  • Work closely with analysts to develop new features.
  • Maintain existing software applications.
  • Adhere to coding best practices and stay up to date on frontend technologies.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, business, or a related field required. Experience may be considered in lieu of formal education if approved by management.
  • Experience in software, architecture, development, specifically.
  • Experience with more than one and a working knowledge of all the following key technologies: Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, C#, SQL, Typescript, RESTful Web Services, D3, Figma, Git.

The Mariners are committed to providing competitive pay, perks, and benefits packages for our valued Team Members.  
 
The anticipated starting pay for this role is between $110-$125,000. All perks are subject to eligibility requirements and availability and may be modified or amended from time to time.  
 
This information is being provided in accordance with the Washington State Equal Pay and Opportunity Act  

Salary : $110,000 - $125,000
