Overview : The Seawane Club seeks an experienced Banquet Manager to oversee private and member events. In this role, you will coordinate every detail—from reviewing and executing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to managing staffing and guest relations—to create seamless, memorable experiences. Working closely with our events team, clubhouse manager, and executive chef, you will ensure every event runs flawlessly. We'd love to hear from you if you are a proactive, detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Responsibilities : Event Management : Oversee various events (weddings, bar / bat mitzvahs, luncheons, dinner parties, golf outings) from setup to breakdown.Staff Coordination : Collaborate with the events team to schedule and assign the appropriate mix of servers, bartenders, and support staff.Training & Leadership : Train and supervise banquet staff, emphasizing service excellence and a positive, “service with a smile” attitude.Event Setup and Breakdown : Ensure event setups—including table arrangements, decor, and seating plans—align with client expectations and manage efficient breakdown and clean-up.Collaboration : Work closely with the Executive Chef, Director of Catering, and Clubhouse Manager to accommodate client requests and deliver seamless food and beverage service.BEO Adherence : Review and follow Banquet Event Orders to ensure all event details are executed as planned.Client Liaison & Problem Solving : Serve as the primary point of contact during events, managing timelines, overseeing guest expectations, and resolving issues promptly.Guest Experience : Proactively anticipate guest needs and address concerns to ensure an exceptional experience.Qualifications : Proven experience as a Banquet Manager or Maître D’ in a private club, hotel, or upscale setting is highly preferred.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff to maintain high service standards.Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.Ability to remain calm under pressure and ensure events run smoothly.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Familiarity with event management software (e.g., Reserve Cloud) is a plus.Preferred Experience : Experience in high-end private clubs or country clubs.Familiarity with managing large-scale events such as weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings.In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service and etiquette.Pay range and compensation package : $70,000 - $90,000 per year (based on experience)Bonus opportunitiesComprehensive benefits package including health insurance, dental and vision plans, and a flexible vacation schedule80% company-paid employee health insurance, plus a company-sponsored Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)Company-provided employee meals, access to the golf course during off-hours, and moreHow to Apply : If you are a collaborative individual enthusiastic about delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences, we invite you to apply for this position.
