What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at The Sedgwick?
The Sedgwick in Vancouver, WA is a chef owned, small plates restaurant. We are looking for bartenders/servers to join our amazing team. Our ideal candidate is fast, hard-working, and puts love into each drink they make. We are a scratch kitchen and like to continue that philosophy into the bar with house made infusions, simples, bitters, and shrubs.
Responsibilities
- Interact with customers, take orders, ability to run food as well as drinks
- Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Prepare drinks to specified recipe each and every time
- Prep the ingredients needed to create each drink on cocktail menu
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Qualifications
- Proven working experience as a craft cocktail bartender
- Extensive knowledge of wine, beer, and liquor. Or strong desire to learn and educate yourself
- Knowledge of current liquor trends
- Experience working in a chef owned restaurant a plus
- Positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Relevant training certificates
