As a Low Voltage Technician, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot network cabling infrastructure while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role involves working on wired and wireless network components, performing testing, and developing advanced fiber optic skills. Key Responsibilities :
- Install and maintain network components, including coaxial cables, fiber optics, CAT6 cables, and alarm systems.
- Set up cable pathways using J-hooks, D-rings, cable trays, and ladder racks.
- Build IT closets, including data racks, ladder racks, patch panels, and sleeves.
- Perform quality control testing on network infrastructure and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints for structured cabling installations.
- Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and facility-specific safety standards.
- Gain expertise in fiber optics, including splicing, installation, and testing.
- Install service in commercial and residential environments, ensuring total customer satisfaction
