100% Remote Machine Learning Scientist
The Select Group is looking to hire a mid to senior level Machine Learning Specialist to join the team at one of our life science clients. This person will join the client's cutting-edge research team. This team is focused on improving infectious disease treatment outcomes.This person will develop and apply machine learning (ML) techniques to classify patient viral sequence data, enabling the prediction of responses to therapies. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to advancements in personalized medicine by integrating computational techniques with molecular biology.
Requirements :
- Proficient in Python programming and familiar with libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, and NumPy.
- Demonstrated experience building predictive models using ML techniques.
- Experience with feature selection methods specific to biological datasets.
- Hands-on experience working with DNA sequence data, including alignment, annotation, and sequence-based feature extraction.
- Familiarity with tools for handling genomic data (e.g., Biopython, SAMtools, or similar).
